Left a comment somewhere and ended up here?
If you wrote a comment, a review or a message on a business's social media page, your text may pass through mAI Engage — the software that business uses to see and answer what people write to it.
This page tells you exactly what happens to your data. It is the notice required by Article 14 GDPR, because we did not get your data from you but from the platform.
Who decides about your data
The business whose page you wrote on. They are the data controller. We provide the software and act only on their instructions.
In practice: if you want something changed or deleted, contacting the business directly is fastest. If you contact us, we will forward your request to them and help technically.
What we hold
- The text you wrote, its time, and the link.
- Your public profile details: display name, username, picture.
- If you sent a private message, its content and any attachments.
- Whatever you wrote inside the text — an order number or a phone number, if you mentioned one.
We do not buy data about you from anywhere, we do not look you up on other sites, and we do not combine your comment with sources outside the platform you wrote it on.
Where we got it
From the platform itself — Facebook, Instagram, Google, YouTube or another — through its official interfaces, and only for the pages the business has connected. Never by scraping websites.
What the AI does
Your text is analysed automatically so it can be sorted: whether it is positive or negative, what it asks for, how urgent it is. A draft reply is then produced.
Two things worth knowing:
- Before anything is sent to the model, contact details are stripped out. If you wrote an email, a phone number or an IBAN, they are replaced with symbols. The model never sees them.
- No decision about you is made automatically. The analysis routes a message into a queue; it does not judge you, does not score you as a person, and does not affect any of your rights.
Your data is not used to train models.
For how long
For the period each business sets — usually one year. After that your text and details are anonymised: only numbers remain, and they do not lead back to you, so the business can see statistics without knowing who wrote what.
What you can ask for
- To know exactly what is held about you.
- To have something wrong corrected.
- To have it deleted.
- To restrict or stop the processing.
- To receive your data as a file.
Message the business, or us at i.kotrotsios@rm.gr. We answer within 30 days.
If you delete your data from Facebook or Instagram, Meta notifies us automatically and we erase it — you need do nothing else. Details in the deletion instructions.
If you disagree
You can complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (1-3 Kifisias Ave., 11523 Athens, www.dpa.gr), or to the authority in your own country.
